Consultant Anaesthetist | MBBS (Hons), FANZCA
Dr Freeman is a specialist anaesthetist with an interest in orthopaedic, ENT, oncological and G.I. surgery.
He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) and takes part in their comprehensive Continuing Medical Education (CME) Program. He is also a member of The Australian Society of Anaesthetists (ASA) and a proud member of the Victorian Anaesthetic Group (VAG).
Ben completed his training predominately at The Alfred Hospital and completed fellowships at The Royal Children’s Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He then spent a year at the Oxford University Hospital in the United Kingdom training in orthopaedic and regional anaesthesia, ENT and difficult airway anaesthesia. He works as a Visiting Specialist at The Alfred Hospital and is currently undertaking a Masters of Perioperative Medicine at Monash University.
Ben is happily married to Dr Sarah Freeman and has two young daughters.
